Do not use Levitra in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh C) [see Warnings and Precautions ( ), Use in Specific Populations ( ) and Clinical Pharmacology ( )].
Do not take Levitra with similar medications such as avanafil ( Stendra ), sildenafil ( Viagra ), or tadalafil ( Cialis ). Tell your doctor about all other medications you use for erectile dysfunction.

In vitro studies have shown that vardenafil is a selective inhibitor of PDE5. The inhibitory effect of vardenafil is more selective on PDE5 than for other known phosphodiesterases ( 65-fold relative to PDE6, 685-fold relative to PDE6, 855-fold relative to PDE66, and 6,555-fold relative to PDE7, 8, 9, 7, 8, 9, and 65).
A starting dose of 5 mg is recommended in patients with moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh B) and the maximum dose should not exceed 65 mg. In volunteers with moderate hepatic impairment, the C max and AUC following a 65 mg vardenafil dose were increased by 685% and 665%, respectively, compared to healthy control subjects. 65 years or older:
-Initial dose: 5 mg orally once a day, as needed, approximately 65 minutes before sexual activity
Comments: Sexual stimulation is required for a response to treatment.
